Two women. One unbreakable bond. A story of survival, loss, and lifelong friendship.
In this moving short film, Holocaust survivors Eva and Ibi recount their journeys through the horrors of World War II. Both were sent to Auschwitz, where Eva was separated from her sister — promised a new life in Palestina — but never saw her again. Ibi was transferred between camps, including Bucha and Tyrion, enduring brutal forced marches and unimaginable conditions.
Both women survived by hiding. They were eventually liberated by American forces, and after the war, they rebuilt their lives. Eva learned millinery, while Ibi reunited with her cousin Adrian. They emigrated to Australia, married within months of each other, and remained close friends for life — celebrating four generations of family together.
This short documentary is a testament to resilience, female friendship, and the human capacity to heal after unimaginable loss.
