MADRE
Poems by Jessica Chapnik Kahn
Set to music by Anna Hirst Friedman

Inspired by the book, composer Anna Hirst Friedman transformed several poems into soaring choral works brought to life by a six-piece vocal ensemble. A synesthetic experience, bringing Mother to the foreground of the sublime.
