Sports, Society and Politics in Israel: In Israel, a country where so many things are political and complicated, there is little surprise that sports, politics and social issues are closely intertwined. Self will explore these and other issues and see how sports presents a fascinating mirror image of the Israeli society, from the potential for co-existence to the backlash from other parts of both Palestinian and Israeli society.

Sefi has spent his career on two paths: 1. Youth engagement
and international relations (including in the US Embassy to
Israel); 2. Media, through TV and website production and
content roles. He admits he is a geek about Israeli politics and
history, with a special passion for sports and cooking. Since
April 2019, he has been working as the Melbourne Netzer and Progressive community Shaliach, on behalf of the Jewish Agency and has enjoyed speaking on dozens of stages in Israel, Australia and other countries.
